Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data AKA Variant Gallery processes when a merchant installs and uses the app.

Data We Access

AKA Variant Gallery requests product read and write access so the app can display product options, read product media, save colour-to-image mappings, and optionally set the first native variant image. The app does not request customer, order, payment, or checkout data.

Data We Store

The app stores Shopify installation session records and product gallery mappings. Mappings are saved as product metafields and contain Shopify product media references, colour option values, and display order. The app does not store image binary files; images remain in Shopify product media.

How Data Is Used

Data is used only to provide the variant gallery admin workflow and storefront gallery block. Product media mappings are read by the storefront theme app extension so customers see the image set that matches the selected product colour.

Retention And Deletion

When a shop uninstalls the app or Shopify sends a shop redaction webhook, stored app sessions for that shop are deleted. Product metafields created by the app may remain on the product unless the merchant removes them or asks support to remove them.
